Join naturalist Dr June Chatfield and bryophytes expert Jonathan Sleath for a short walk examining mosses and liverworts around Lynch Hill Hanger then back along the River Wey from Upper Neatham Mill.
Bring a hand lens if you have one, though we will have some available on the day to lend.
Meet in the Barley Fields car park (free), Garstons Way, Alton GU34 4BQ. OS grid ref SU7297 4050, ///redeemed.scowls.drag. Paths may be muddy so wear walking boots or other sturdy footwear, and weather-appropriate clothing. Bring any refreshments you might want.
We suggest for all field meetings that you carry essential medication and a basic first aid kit. Please alert the leader at the start if you have relevant health or mobility problems.
Strictly NO DOGS, as their presence disturbs the wildlife.
All welcome (under 18s please bring an adult). If you aren't a member of the Society please consider joining, especially if you plan to come to three or more events, so we can continue to run our valued programme of talks and field meetings.
