AFPP is an international, cross-disciplinary conference on social movements, protest and cognate topics.
About this Event

Welcome to the Alternative Futures & Popular Protest (AFPP) conference at The University of Manchester! Join us Monday June 15th to Wednesday June 17th 2026 for three days filled with insightful discussions, engaging panels, and networking opportunities. This event is perfect for anyone interested in exploring new ideas and strategies for social change.

You are required to register for this event by the following deadlines:

  • Presenters must register their attendance by purchasing a 'presenter ticket' by Monday 13th April 2026.
  • Non-presenters may register to attend the conference by purchasing a 'non-presenter ticket' available until Monday 1st June 2026.
  • Refunds are available up until 7 days before the conference start date.

The registration fee includes refreshments and Tuesday lunch (vegetarian and vegan). Conference meals (Monday and Tuesday evening, and Wednesday lunch) are separate. To register for conference meals please check your AFPP emails and follow the instructions.
