The Mission Committee is excited to welcome our mission partners back again for this year’s Alternative Christmas Market! On Sunday, November 23, representatives from our mission partner agencies will be at WPC to worship with us and to share information about the important work they do in the community Gifts can be made to the organizations and given as gifts in honor of a loved one or friend – this is a great opportunity for church members to give to their favorite organizations in one place on one day.
This is a favorite tradition at WPC, providing our members and friends an opportunity to give to charitable organizations – a great way to share gifts during the holiday season.
Each organization will have a table to set up displays and materials in the Gathering Space after worship, and members and friends of the church will be able to walk around and visit each booth to learn more about the good work of these organizations. Mission will also host a breakfast for Mission Partners prior to the service, allowing them to network and enjoy some fellowship. Many have confirmed their plans to attend including Capuchin Community Services (St. Bens), Civic Music MKE, Common Ground, Eras Senior Network, Forward Scholars, Foundations for Freedom, Guest House, Habitat for Humanity, Legal Aid Milwaukee, Literacy Services of WI, Meta House, Pathfinders, Safe & Sound, and Tippecanoe as well as our youth selling handmade holiday cards.
