Join us for an alternative 25N (the International day for the elimination of all forms of violence against women). We will begin by watching the documentary "Survivors forgotten by the justice", which sheds light on the experiences of women whose stories are silenced or dismissed by the institutions meant to protect them.
After the screening, we invite you to participate in an open, bilingual discussion exploring key questions such as:
- How do we define violence against women?
- What are the differences between domestic violence, sexual violence, gender-based violence, sexist violence, and patriarchal violence?
- How are politicians and policymakers defining and addressing violence against women in our societies?
- Have you heard of "hedersrelaterad våld" (honor-related violence)?
- What do we mean by punitivist or carceral feminism, and what are the debates around it?
- Most importantly, what does a survivor of violence truly need?
This will be a safe, inclusive, and multilingual space for reflection, learning, and community building. We will reflect over the survivors perspectives and critically examine the systems that perpetuate violence.
Note: Even if the documentary shows the experiences of CIS-women as survivors of their partners´violence the discussion reflects over all kind of violence against any women.

25N Alternativo: Pensamiento crítico y construcción comunitaria
Únete a un 25N alternativo (Día internacional para la eliminación de todas las formas de violencia contra las mujeres). Comenzaremos con el documental "Sobrevivientes olvidadas por la justicia", que da luz a las experiencias de mujeres cuyas historias son silenciadas o ignoradas por las instituciones que deberían protegerlas.
Tras la proyección, te invitamos a participar en un debate abierto y bilingüe que explorará cuestiones clave como:
- ¿Cómo definimos la violencia contra las mujeres?
- ¿Cuáles son las diferencias entre violencia doméstica, violencia sexual, violencia de género, violencia machista y violencia patriarcal?
- ¿Cómo definen y abordan los políticos y legisladores la violencia contra las mujeres en nuestras sociedades?
- ¿Has oído hablar de "hedersrelaterad våld" (crímenes relacionados con el honor)?
- ¿Qué entendemos por feminismo punitivista o carcelario y cuáles son los debates en torno a él?
- Y lo más importante, ¿qué necesita realmente una sobreviviente de violencia?
Este será un espacio seguro, inclusivo y multilingüe para la reflexión, el aprendizaje y el desarrollo comunitario. Reflexionaremos sobre las perspectivas de las sobrevivientes y examinaremos críticamente los sistemas que perpetúan la violencia.
Nota: Si bien el documental muestra las experiencias de mujeres CIS como sobrevivientes a la violencia de sus parejas, el debate aborda todo tipo de violencia contra las mujeres.
