Alpaca Breeding - Mating, Birthing, and Cria Care

This full day workshop is aimed at new or inexperienced alpaca breeders and will cover choosing your breeding males and females and different mating methods. Care of the dam through pregnancy and whilst lactating. The actual birthing and common reasons for owner intervention. Cria care and weaning will also be included. Practical and hands on where possible (sorry I don't expect to be able to arrange a birth for every workshop!). All material comes from the British Alpaca Society Affiliated Training programme.
