Why does our body need more than exercise and healthy eating, yoga or Tai Chi. How does our Aloha Response to daily life bring peace to our sympathetic nervous system and it's fight or flight signals putting the body’s systems on alert/stress become balanced by our parasympathetic (rest, digest, recover) system which signals and relaxes our system. Learn how the two systems work together!
About Carmela Tafoya:
Carmela Tafoya is a 36-year veteran Personal Trainer, ACSM and NCEP certified. Her clients include individuals from all walks of life, including seniors, professional athletes, executives to new moms, keiki, the LBGTQ community and most recently a addiction recovery program. Moving to Hawaii in 2009 only deepened her commitment, adding “Foundations of Aloha and Ho’oponopono” to her focus.
About José Barzola:
José Barzola is a highly organized higher education administrator with over 20 years of experience and success in administration, student development within academic and student affairs. José is currently the Conflict and Peace Specialist at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, where he provides conflict services and programming to cultivate a culture of healthy positive relationships.
