We’re hyped to announce the Sweden-debut of the dynamic hiphop-duo Verbz & Mr Slipz from the renowned UK label Highfocus Records, set to perform live on the 27th of February at Red Room / Moriskan. Supported by our own Aidinity & Moose Dawa along with Gothenburgs finest DJ Foolish behind the ones & two’s. Powered by Malmö Kompaniet & Club Miskeen.
Rapper Verbz and producer Mr Slipz first met in 2016, and soon after a couple of non-musical interactions, they decided to get to work, having already cemented their name on the UK Hip Hop scene. The following year (2017), their debut album 'Lessons Of Adolescence' was released by German record label, Radio Juicy, which rapidly gained them exposure as a truly dynamic duo within Europe. After their release, they toured extensively and continued working together, strengthening the musical connection and stacking an untold amount of high calibre music. The results of their labour was showcased in 2020 by getting signed to renowned UK Hip Hop label, High Focus Records. Their first HF album, ‘Radio Waves’, sold out within 4 months and featured an impressive array of the UK's finest rappers, creating an album that will forever be remembered as a classic. Since then they’ve cemented their name in the UK hiphop scene and been supporting names such as GZA, KRS-One and Talib Kweli to name a few. With a the freshly baked album ”The Way Forward” just released, the rapper/producer duo will be showcasing a fine range of their discography.
