An afternoon of Pinot, cheese and questionable wine advice with our resident wine rogue, Terry P.
Join us at Henry and the Fox for a gloriously indulgent afternoon dedicated to one of the wine world’s most charming and unpredictable grape families — Pinot.
Guided by Terry P (part wine guru, part storyteller, full-time enthusiast), this is not your typical serious wine tasting. Expect plenty of laughs, a few tall tales from the wine world, and the occasional moment where Terry insists something smells like “forest floor after rain”… and somehow he’s actually right.
Across the afternoon we’ll explore the many personalities of the Pinot family — from lively Sparkling Pinot, through elegant Pinot Blanc and Pinot Bianco, to the silky smooth charm of Pinot Noir and the generous mischief of Pinot Meunier.
But wine never travels alone.
Each glass will be matched with indulgent, cheese-driven bites designed to make everything taste even better. Think Comté gougères, raclette croque monsieur, Roquefort tartlets, and a cheeky finale pairing cheddar with dark chocolate that may sound strange but absolutely works.
Along the way Terry will share stories from cellars, vineyards and wine bars across the globe — some educational, some questionable, all entertaining — joined by a few industry friends who may jump in with their own opinions (or arguments).
This is not a quiet wine lecture.
It’s a room full of good people, great wine, glorious cheese and the kind of afternoon where the volume slowly goes up as the bottles go down.
Come thirsty, come curious, and come ready for an afternoon where the Pinot flows, the cheese keeps coming and the stories get better with every glass.
