About this Event
Come join us for a one-off FREE meetup for ANY estranged and care experienced students based in Greater Manchester area (this very much includes students at the University of Salford too!). We are going to have a fun and chill night bowling with refreshments, and also marking Eid al-Fitr for those who celebrate.
On the day: We are meeting at 6.50pm (for a 7pm booked bowling start) Thursday 19th March at Lane 7, Unit 3, 235 Deansgate, Manchester M3 4EN. We'll then all head to our bowling alley together.(Google map pin-point for Lane 7 is https://maps.app.goo.gl/9tTsNnsk2wzPtv3i9). As we are bowling after 7pm, Lane 7 asks that you bring ID to show you are over 18. More details on their website.
What to expect: A chill evening to connect with other students at no cost to you! Everyone will also get name labels and All of Us freebies - so it will be easy to get to know each other and you don't have to remember names! We will have some little edible surprises to mark Eid al-Fitr too, and any estranged or care experienced student (and recent grad) can attend this event, regardless of your faith.
WhatsApp chat: we also have a WhatsApp chat so you can talk to other people planning to attend the meetup beforehand: to reduce any nerves you may have, co-ordinate travel and make new friends. Make sure to add your number in the ticket order if you want this!
Make sure to mark your calendars and invite any other estranged or care experienced friends along (get them to grab a free ticket too!) for a relaxing evening and a chance to hang out with people who get it.
