About this Event
All-Night Gong Bath - a continuous 7-8 hours sound meditation, inspired by certain shamanic ceremonies where the same shaman holds the space from the beginning of the night till the morning. This makes the whole experience very different compared to widely offered ‘gong pujas’ where people play gongs in turns.
Gongs, singing bowls, other ritual instruments, voice and energy work will be used to facilitate a deep and meditative state of consciousness and guidance into your journey within.
Your host - Kat Bumbul of Sound Mysterium has been offering sound healing for over 15 years, along with tea ceremonies, retreats, walking labyrinths, hand healing and shamanic work. Having some musical background, and as a practitioner of Kashmiri Shaiva Kaula Path, Siberian Shamanism and Dao Yin Shu, Kat incorporates her gifts and skills from these practices into the sound work to bring your experience into a deeper level.
22.30 - Doors open. Setting into the space.
23.00 - Ceremonial cacao, lucid dreaming tea, gentle movement & humming practice followed by all-night sound bath.
7.00 - Waking up. Welcoming the morning.
7.30 - Tea & light snacks.
During the night you can meditate or sleep. In both cases you will feel the beneficial effects of the healing sounds of gongs & other instruments. Please be gentle with yourself for the remainder of the weekend to fully ‘digest’ the process, which can last for a couple of days.
Sounds and vibrations of a gong create a feeling of being 'bathed' or carried away into the space, with participants variously reporting subtle or powerful bodily sensations, a deep meditative state often accompanied by rich imagery and visions, or feeling of timeless nothingness and bliss. During the session the brainwaves are altered to the state that is self-healing, and has balancing benefits on the body and mind. Occasionally some sounds might trigger unpleasant and suppressed emotions that flow up to the surface — please accept them as a part of a healing process. In most cases the overall experience is very relaxing and ecstatic, and participants feel refreshed and recharged for a long time after a sound bath.
