About Kathleen: Kathleen Lanzoni is an award winning artist with over 55 awards from art exhibitions and organizations. She divides her time painting between painting in the studio, Plein Air painting (outdoors on location) and on murals sites.
About Walden Ponds: Walden Ponds is a thriving wetland sanctuary where nature’s resilience shines. Once the site of a gravel mining operation, in the 1970's, Boulder County Commissioner Walden “Wally” Toevs, spearheaded the plan to convert the land into a wildlife habitat. What began as barren industrial pits is now a vibrant wildlife habitat filled with ponds, native vegetation, and year-round opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. Since opening to the public in 1975, this evolving preserve has become both a haven for wildlife and a peaceful retreat for visitors seeking to reconnect with nature.
