Spend a day distilling with our head distiller. You'll be hands on with all parts of the distilling process.About this Event
Our All Day Distillers Experience provides the opprtunity to see and touch all aspects of the distilling process. This class is limited to 10 people so that everyone gets to experience all phases.
During the 8 hr class you will experience:
- A grain mash cook. Through the mash process, we will convert starch into the sugar that is necessary for fermentation.
- The process of measuring ph, pitching yeast, and temperature control
- Experience a bourbon spirit run where we'll determine where to make the heads, hearts, and tails cuts.
- Learn how to measure and calibrate ABV
- See and learn the process of gauging where we determine the amount of alcohol and then reduce that alcohol to bottling proof
- We will discuss the science around distillation and how we can impact flavors.
This is class is hands on. You will get dirty. Your feet may get wet. Please wear appropriate clothing.
Lunch will be provided and we will send you home with a special gift at the end of the day.
