About this Event
Access Gallery is excited to present All Access Pass, a group exhibition featuring works created by nearly every artist currently working with Access Gallery and in the non-profit’s art studio. The exhibition will feature artwork by over 30 local artists with disabilities. The artwork selected aims to highlight each artist’s unique style, medium, and approach to artmaking.
Visitors of the exhibition will explore a compilation of exciting artwork featuring a wide variety of themes and media. Works include, but are not limited to, painting, digital art, sculpture, and fan and comic book art. Art enthusiasts and the broader Denver community are invited to enjoy and celebrate the breadth and depth of the work created by Access Gallery artists.
Image by DPA - Inspired by the disability pride flag, each color stripe has a meaning:
Red - physical disabilities
Gold - neurodiversity
White - invisible disabilities and disabilities that haven't yet been diagnosed
Blue - emotional and psychiatric disabilities, including mental illness, anxiety, and depression
Green - for sensory disabilities, including deafness, blindness, lack of smell, lack of taste, audio processing disorder, and all other sensory disabilities
The faded black background represent mourning and rage for victims of ableist violence and abuse. The diagonal band cuts across the walls and barriers that separate the disabled from normate society, also representing light and creativity cutting through the darkness.
