All About Props! Gain Strength and Sweet Supportwith Anne Curtis and Melissa Carroll
Blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps, oh my!
All those props you see in yoga classes can be a little daunting, right? This workshop will guide you through both active and passive yoga poses using props (which will all be provided for you) to help you:
Gain Strength and Mobility
Enhance Your Balance and Alignment
Find Greater Ease and Release in Stretches and Restorative Poses
Let Go of Pushing So Hard in Poses with the Support of Props
You’ll walk away with a much greater knowledge of your own yoga practice and how to (literally) support yourself in both powerful and nourishing ways.
This two-hour workshop will begin with more active, dynamic postures that use props, particularly blocks, to build awareness, strength, and balance. Then, we’ll focus on blankets and bolsters to support you in soothing, relaxing poses.
We’ll seal in the class with a sweet savasana and leave time at the end for discussion, questions, and answers.
This workshop is open to students of all levels – that’s the beauty of props! They make yoga accessible and exciting for brand new students, to those with limited mobility, to seasoned students looking to deepen their practice.
You’ll receive a handout with an outline of the poses and props used in the workshop, so you can easily take this knowledge with you.
All the props will be available for you at the studio, but you can bring your own if you like of course.
Cost: $40
*All workshops are non-refundable*
