About this Event
In this class we will cover some cupcake baking basics, such as correctly measuring ingredients, mixing techniques and what different phrases mean, how to read and follow a recipe, adjusting for altitude, filling cupcake liners, and the actual baking
We will also go over some buttercream basics and actually make a batch of buttercream, add color, and prep and fill a piping bag.
You will learn to pipe 2 different kinds of swirls and 2 different kinds of flowers on your cupcakes and learn to make a simple fondant rose. We will discuss simple garnishes that elevate your cupcakes.
Students will go home with (minimum) 4 decorated cupcakes, tips and tricks for baking success, and a few recipes.
Class is open to ages 12 and up, however, participants aged 12-15 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Minimum 4 attendees; mazimum 6.
