All aboard! The Santa Train is returning for its 37th year. Get ready for a magical holiday adventure with your family aboard the Santa Train, perfect for young ones (and those young at heart).
On this merry little museum adventure, you will:
- Ride the train and visit with Santa (every rider receives a candy cane!)
- Write a letter to Santa in our cozy depot
- Have access to historic locomotives and cars in the Jacobsen Interpretive Center and Annex
- Visit the Carson City Model Railroad Association Exhibit in the Jacobsen Interpretive Center
- Take a Handcar Ride, if weather permits
2025 Train Schedule and Tickets:
The Santa Train will be making stops during the first three weekends (Saturday–Sunday) of December.
- December 6–7
- December 13–14
- December 20–21
Departure is every 30 minutes from 10 am to 3 pm, and each ride lasts approximately 20 minutes.
(Please note: Boarding time is 15 minutes before departure time.)
A long-standing tradition for Nevada families, the Santa Train fills up quickly — so get your tickets before they sell out.
