Alistair Johnston:
Alistair Johnston is a saxophonist, composer and educator based in Brooklyn. Johnston moved from his lifelong home of Sydney, Australia to New York in 2023 to complete a Masters of Music (Jazz Studies) from New York University where he studied with Rich Perry, Tivon Pennicott, Billy Drummond, Lenny White, Dave Pietro, Michael Wolff and Michael Rodriguez.. He has performed internationally across Australia, the United States and in Europe. In 2022-23 Johnston released his debut self-titled album as a leader and Dancing Waters- as a co-leader with Anoesis (2022). Since moving to New York in 2023 Johnston has performed in venues across the city including Bar Bayeux and Cafe Ornithology and he continues to perform regularly around the city as a leader and sideman.
Robert Papacica:
Robert Papacica is an award winning composer, educator, and musician originally from Toronto, Canada. Robert has appeared as a sideman in jazz clubs in Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seattle, and New York.As a leader, Robert's debut album, Reverse Migration, was released on March 4, 2025 through the New York City based Pinch Records. Robert is also a part of the Ark Trio which features Keshav Batish on Drums and Anthony Paolini on Saxophone. The band released their debut record in April 2022. He also regularly performs and tours with his group featuring his own original music.
Paul Pandit:
Paul Pandit is a versatile and exciting bass player and composer quickly emerging in the Brooklyn music scene. Adept at both upright and electric bass his sound draws from a well of diverse influences, often defying categorization. This is true of his original compositions as well, where folk influenced melodies are woven together with lush harmonies and innovative forms. He is in demand across a wide range of genres and can be found performing at many different venues in New York City including Bar Bayeux, Close Up, Cafe Ornithology, Nublu, Arlene’s Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, Cafe Erzulie, and Fiction.
Quinton Cain:
After earning his Bachelor’s degree in May of 2022, Quinton has quickly become an in-demand drummer amongst his peers, having played at Nublu, Ornithology Jazz Club, Vortex, Chris’ Jazz Cafe, and The Kennedy Center (Betty Carter Jazz Ahead 2022), among other venues of note. Currently living in Brooklyn, he continually works on original music of his own to present to audiences around the world, as well being a capable sideman for his contemporaries. Quinton has been mentored by stalwarts of the music such as Buster Williams, John Riley, and Stefon Harris, and has shared the stage with myriad musicians, including Dayna Stephens, Billy Drewes, Dezron Douglas, and David Berkman.
