About this Event
Craft your very own fantasy tale with the guidance of author Vivian Teo in this writing workshop! Through the understanding of the key elements of exciting stories and guided writing exercises, aspiring writers will learn how to find story inspiration and create interesting plot and characters to craft an epic fantasy story.
This programme is part of the Tweens Write series for tweens aged 10-13 to create a piece of writing and/or illustrative work as guided by established authors and/or illustrators.

About the workshop facilitator:
Vivian Teo is the author of popular middle-grade book series, My BFF Is an Alien, published by Epigram Books. Sabotage, the second book of the series, was shortlisted for the 2022 Hedwig Anuar Children's Book Award (middle-grade category) and a finalist in the Best Young Persons Title category in the 2021 Singapore Book Awards. Books in the series have also been nominated in the POPULAR Readers’ Choice Awards’ English (Children) category, with the first book winning third place in 2020.
After working as a financial journalist and editor for fourteen years at major US and UK trade publications, Vivian became a freelance writer to write about things close to her heart.
