Step into a world glowing with mystery, a far away planet where the moonlight casts rainbow shadows and the air pulses with a magnetic beat. You push through the luminescent foliage, flowers and vines in every color of the rainbow surround you, soft and vibrating to the low beat. As you walk closer to the sound, you see the creatures, the inhabitants of this alien world, multicolored and glowing, caught up in the rapture of moving to the music coming from all around. They dance together, open, pure, expressive, laughing and embracing and moving on to the next dance partner. They catch your eye and the next thing you know, you're caught up in their dance, too, whirling and unconcerned, the weights and stresses of your old life on earth out of your mind. Hours pass, or maybe only minutes, and the glow of the moonlight fades to the glow of their rising sun. Spend the evening in this magical alien world with us.This is a BLACKLIGHT DANCE PARTY! (Half of the room will be blacklights) Costumes highly encouraged! Bright colors, ravewear, UV bodypaint, Meowwolf meets James Cameron's Avatar.
This is a Fusion Dance House Party! All are welcome to come and dance the night away. Dancing is the main focus of this party, socializing and hanging out is the second main focus.
This party is free. If you'd like to contribute, please bring a snack or drink to share. We love refreshing drinks like tea and juice, and snacks like fruits and veggies. We will have post-it notes available for labeling allergens.
Our neighbors are very patient with us. Please be considerate about noise when outside and parking. Some of the driveways in our neighborhood are not beveled, so please double-check that you don't park in front of a driveway.
There is space to crash after the dance if you want to spend the night. Please contact Laura to reserve a spot, or to let me know if you'd like to DJ!
