Chronologically, Peter Wilson & Moe Dixon have collaborated since the 1970s. Moe and Freebo have accompanied each other since the 1980s. Freebo & Alice Howe have been a non-stop touring duo for nearly a decade. While they have hung out in various combinations over many years, this will be the first time all four have been in the same place at the same time. Serious musical fun is to be expected.
“Howe’s voice is a marvelous instrument, strong and effortlessly musical, yet also capable of the sort of nuance that adds layers of meaning.” – The Patriot Ledger
“ Freebo is more than one of LA’s best players, he’s also a richly gifted and distinctive songwriter, as expressive in his writing as on a bass” – Paul Zollo, Songwriters On Songwriting
“Peter writes, plays and sings wonderfully well and his songs are filled with humor, heart and conscience.” – Utah Phillips
“[Moe Dixon’s] magical performances are highlighted by masterful guitar playing, powerful vocals and ingenious songwriting.” – Sisters Folk Festival

Alice Howe is a rising voice in Americana music. On Circumstance, her second and latest album, the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter guitarist displays her vocal prowess and introspective writing, bringing her heart and musical tastes on a deep, personal journey across an Americana soundscape dotted with blues, folk, country, soul and rock. Recorded at the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where Etta James and Wilson Pickett once shook the walls, 11 stirring tracks dive into the vagaries of the heart and her own personal journey. As an old soul inside a 30-something millennial, Alice puts her stamp on Americana’s venerable strands with 10 standout originals evoking the classic singer-songwriters and seminal music that once filled airwaves, roadhouses and juke joints.
Freebo is best known for his decade of touring and recording with Bonnie Raitt. He has distinguished himself as one of the great bassists of our time, recording with CSN, Maria Muldaur, John Mayall, Ringo Starr, Dr. John, and Neil Young, and appearing on Saturday Night Live, The Midnight Special, The Muppet Show, and in concert with the legendary Spinal Tap. Not willing to simply rest on those achievements, Freebo delved more deeply into his creativity and has become a highly regarded singer/songwriter, now working on his 6th full-length solo CD. A multi-award winner and finalist in numerous songwriting contests, Freebo’s music reflects his compassionate concern for the world and people around him, and his lyrics and open stage banter have helped him connect with listeners worldwide. A live musical experience with Freebo is astute, insightful, clever, and truly melodic.
Peter Wilson is an award winning singer/songwriter/guitarist with numerous recordings to his credit. He’s member of the Deadbeats – a long running tip-of-the-hat to the music and songs of the Grateful Dead. He’s a founding member of Paul Emery’s 1000 Kisses Deep – The Songs of Leonard Cohen. Along with his songwriting cohorts, Mountain John Hilligoss and Moe Dixon, he’s written scores of songs, toured and released a studio CD – Troubadour Camp. His vintage rock and roll band, The Pyramids, have played music for dancing and having fun since 1986. His teaching experience includes stints teaching guitar and song at music camps including Alasdair Fraser’s Sierra Fiddle Camp and the Whole Music Camp. At home in Grass Valley, California Wilson has hosted radio variety shows and open mic. nights. His production company, Strings Concerts, presents events and provides support services for presenters and festivals on the west coast.
Moe Dixon is a familiar name on the festival and concert club circuit with inspiring original songs, fiery finger-style and ragtime guitar and inventive ukulele playing. Moe had gained national recognition through his contributions to the children’s group Rosen, Shontz, and Dixon. He’s written themes to Bob Hope specials and Warren Miller ski movies, and performed with the Wheeling Symphony and the West Suburban Symphony of Chicago. He’s shared the stage with such familiar names as Phil Oches, Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Tom Rush, Nicolette Larson, Doc Watson, Maria Muldaur, Rory Block, Odetta, Jonathon Edwards, John Denver, Bill Danoff, Michael Johnson, Little River Band, The Hellacasters, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Three Dog Night, Eric Johnson, Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Buddy Guy, Sonny Landreth, and Robben Ford.
