Drawing from his strong influences in jazz and flamenco music that he has played over the years, guitarist Ali Omar El-Farouk returns for a third year with his flamenco jazz trio with two of his favourite human beings and artists from Montreal: Shaun Ryan on electric bass, and Hanser Santos Gómez on percussion. This powerful trio develops a sound together by delving into the flamenco jazz genre that has been constantly evolving over the past few decades, presenting their unique interpretations of some of Ali’s original compositions, and of well-known jazz compositions.
