Alfreda’s Cinema closes out our Open-Air film sessions with a chilling and unforgettable cult classic—Tales from the Hood (1995). Directed by Rusty Cundieff, this horror anthology blends supernatural storytelling with biting social commentary, making it as thought-provoking as it is terrifying.
The film follows Mr. Simms (Clarence Williams III), a sinister mortician who warns a group of young dealers with four shocking tales—from a cop haunted by guilt, to a boy with terrifying powers, and stories that blur the line between nightmare and justice.
The evening will open with the short film You Changed Me by Devin "Panama" Barrett, before we descend into Simms’ unforgettable tales.
