Jacob Eriksen works with sound performances, installations, curation and workshops as practices often critically informed, reflected and rooted cross-disciplinary in theory – and often just letting loose in the search for happy accidents. He is the director of Sound Art Lab, curating director of Struer Tracks, head of studies at 89 Sound Art School and teaches at Sound Studies and Sonic Arts, UdK Berlin.
Julie Østengaard works with experimental electronic music and soundart across performative,site-specific and installation formats. Her sound blends electroacoustic textures, IDM-inflected rhythms, ambient atmospheres and glitch-pop details, exploring fragmented rhythmic structures and collage-like textures that move between intimacy and rupture. Shaped through a sampling-based modular synth, Østengaard combines instrument- and field recordings with sculpted vocal processing of her voice extending her voice through an AI-generated double.
In earlier installation and site-specific works, Østengaard has used materials such as warning sirens, airplanes, mobile phones and remnants from industrial environments, exploring the
physicality of sound and its spatial conditions.
Her recent artistic work is driven by narrative composition and investigations of identity, cultural conditions and the societal structures that shape contemporary life. This unfolds in projects
including MADE TO BREAK (Regelbau 411), Sewage People (Lydbrøndene), er du okay (Klang Festival) and the performative Slug Barbie show (Struer Tracks). Alongside her solo practice, Julie composes for contemporary dance and theatre, where she
continues to explore narrative, spatiality and emotion through sound.
