Taking place at the acclaimed Glenn Gould Studio, this powerful concert features a 19-piece orchestra blending Afro-Cuban rhythms with the energy and sophistication of jazz big band.
Led by Cuban-Canadian trumpeter, composer, and arranger Alexis Baró, Afrokando is a vibrant musical journey from Havana to Toronto—filled with dynamic horn arrangements, driving percussion, and unforgettable melodies.
