Kalmar Nyckel Tours - Timed Tickets at the City of Alexandria’s “Sails on the Potomac"Tour the Kalmar Nyckel, a 1997 reproduction of a Swedish ship that was built in 1627, each day of the festival. It is recommended guests reserve a timed ticket to tour a tall ship. A ticket is needed for each ship and for each person, regardless of age.
- All reservations are final.
- Each guest may reserve up to 6 Ship tickets.
- All guests boarding a tall ship, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket to gain admission to the ship.
- The ships are spaced far apart along the Alexandria waterfront. Allow at least 90 minutes between reservations.
- This ticket has no cash value.
- Four tall ships will be docked along the Waterfront. Please arrive 15 minutes in advance of your purchased ticketed time.
- This ticket is valid for 30 minutes from your purchased ticketed time. The last boarding of a ship will be 5:45 p.m.
