Alex Welch is a bassist and composer, presenting a set of all-new original music. He is in the final year of his Jazz Studies degree at the University of Southern California. There, he has studied and shared the stage with world-class musicians such as Jon Hatamiya, Paul Cornish, Gerald Clayton, and Vince Mendoza.Born and raised in Durham, Alex has organized local collaborative jazz group JAMF for the past six years (and counting!) JAMF records containing Alex’s original compositions can be found wherever you stream music.
