Alex Mundy + Friday’s Child: Through the Looking Glass - A fully integrated, story-driven co-bill rooted in Americana, folk, and modern roots music. Rather than separate sets, the night unfolds as one continuous musical journey – songs woven together, artists stepping in and out of each other’s worlds, building something immersive and deeply human. Inspired by the spirit of 1960s “Happenings,” we’re inviting you to slow down, put your phone away, and fully inhabit the room. Warm harmonies. Western-tinged textures. Vintage glow. Bios
A powerhouse writer with a story to tell, Alex Mundy is a roots-pop songwriter with a “raw and powerful” voice and a gift for turning lived experience into lyrical magic. Following a sold-out performance at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts in Kingston, this internationally recognized songwriter is taking her piano and her stories on the road as part of Through the Looking Glass.
Friday’s Child — the musical partnership of Krista Van Slingerland and Evan Massey — creates intimate, harmony-rich Americana shaped by love, change, and resilience. Their debut record Broken Home (Vol. 1) traces shared history with unflinching honesty, and their live performances bring those stories into the room with warmth and depth. This isn’t just a concert. It’s an evening of shared storytelling — a space to slow down, listen deeply, and remember you’re not alone.

Your ticket guarantees you a seat in the house but not necessarily a seat with a direct line of sight to the performers. We recommend coming early to snag a spot or if you need accommodations, like a guaranteed seat for accessibility reasons, to please email us at [email protected] at least 72 hours before the event.
If the event has not sold out online, there will be tickets available at the counter.

IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO
We provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps, small landing, and then an 8th step). Once inside, the whole cafe floor is flat, with the exception of our small room to the side, which is a small step down.
We are licensed to provide alcohol, but serve a variety of non-alcoholic options.
This event takes place on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.
