Alex Key is a country singer, songwriter, and Nashville recording artist based out of Wilkesboro, NC. He performs with his band under the billing of "Alex Key & The Locksmiths." They've played all over the east coast in the last year and a half at many venues and festivals including the amazing "Carolina In The Fall" festival, as well as one of the largest festivals on the east coast, Merlefest, in 2019. Alex has a large online following of over 112k people, with a big majority of those being from TikTok, Where he has gained a lot of traction!One of Alex's big projects for 2021 is his first Nashville release, coming in April, and touring for said album (see homepage or Facebook for dates.) The album will feature Alex's original songs that blend modern and classic country sounds. Alex's songwriting has been acclaimed by many including legendary Grammy award winning songwriter, Jim Lauderdale (King Of Broken hearts- George Strait.)
When it comes time for the band to hit the stage, you'll hear influences from all over come out, You'll get to hear their take on many songs you know, that you'll want to sing along to, And you'll get to hear many of the originals! If you get to catch a show, you'll definitley want to catch another!

Canine Connect will be fundraising for their dog training programs with raffle tickets and a $40 buy-in corn hole tournament!
Proceeds from the event will help Highland Canine Connect to make a meaningful difference in the community, through initiatives like Service Dog Donations, Police Dog Donations and School Reading Programs.
Whatyusay food truck will be here 5-8pm serving a mix of southern cuisine; fish & shrimp, sandwiches, burgers, brisket, and ribs.
