Alex Harding is a powerful and innovative saxophonist renowned for his distinctive contemporary baritone sound. A respected collaborator in the jazz community, Harding has been a member of Julius Hemphill's Saxophone Sextet and Hamiet Bluiett's Baritone Group, and has performed alongside jazz luminaries including the Mingus Big Band, Muhal Richard Abrams, Craig Harris, Lester Bowie, Frank Lacey, Oliver Lake, and David Murray's Big Band.

Harding's recorded work spans several acclaimed CDs on the CIMP label. Since 2008, he has brought his artistry to Broadway stages, performing in and touring with the Tony Award–winning production FELA!
