About this Event

This 7 class series explores the 7 different stages of personal transformation learned through the alchemical process. What is Alchemy? What does turning lead into gold have to do with personal transformation? In the most basic sense, alchemy is about taking one thing, purifying it down, separating the purities, and recombining to create something completely different. What the initiated alchemist understood was that the teachings of alchemy were metaphors and their true meaning kept hidden from the masses. For example, lead was symbolic of heaviness and impurity. Gold was seen as purity, beauty within, and incorruptible. Alchemists believed that they could affect the quantum field and manipulate matter but first they must undergo their own transmutation within. They transformed into the philosopher's stone, using the same alchemical process. It is an art and science that is believed to effect change on the physical plane, but to do so, must effect change on the mental and spiritual plane as well. The stages that the alchemist discovered are not only the stages that are still used in medicine, chemistry, and science, but are stages that we can see all around us throughout life.

Each week we will learn about the different stages through a guided meditation and examine how each stage has revealed itself throughout our lives. The guided meditation will be accompanied with a sound immersion, with gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and drums to help you sink into a meditative state. Come learn how to work with these 7 stages of transformation, so you can become an active participant in the alchemical process of life, instead of passively letting life happen to you. Mats, blankets, and bolsters will be provided and feel free to bring a notebook to write down anything that might come up during the mediation. It is recommended to attend the entire series, but not required. There will be a brief recap at the beginning of the class from the previous week and any questions can be asked at the end of class.

Mats, bolsters, and blankets will be provided. Please allow enough time for parking and to get settled in before the start time of the class.

Doors will lock at the beginning of the class, so as not to disturb the class. No refunds or credits will be given to no shows
