Calling all kids for Drawing and Illustration Week - one of our week-long summer camps for kids! Drawing and Illustration will focus all sorts of projects involving drawing, illustration and painting and takes place 8/3-8/7.
We are excited to host a whole series of kids art camps this year! During each week of camp, students will have the opportunity to work on different hands-on art projects focused around different themes in a supportive and welcoming environment. Camps are taught by teaching artists, including our AAC staff and our seasonal artists-in-residence.
This is a great summer fun option for kids who love to make things! We will also spend time playing outside, because after all, it's camp!
Schedule and themes:
We will meet each day from 9am-12pm. Campers need to bring a snack.
June 15th - 19th: Clay Week! (Ceramics Studio)
June 22nd - 26th: Sewing and Textiles Week! (Art Barn)
July 13th - 17th: Clay Week #2! (Ceramics Studio)
August 3rd - 7th: Drawing and Painting Week! (Art Barn)
August 17th - 21st: Eco Art Week! (Art Barn)
Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that classes meet their minimums in order to run! If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout.
A Note on Ticket Pricing: We are offering sliding scale tickets in order to keep our classes accessible to as many community members as possible. There are three price tiers. Sustaining tickets help us continue to invest in programming. Full price tickets cover the costs associated with running classes. Accessibility tickets are priced below what it costs for us to run a class. If the cost of a full price ticket is a hardship, we encourage you to purchase a sliding scale ticket. If you can pay the full price or sustaining price, please choose that option so we can keep providing arts programming to the community.
Tuition Assistance: Tuition assistance is available for Alchemy classes and workshops if finances are a barrier. Apply for tuition assistance here.
