Live at the Candle Factory presents a double-header celebration as acoustic blues powerhouse Fullerton & Friel unveil their highly anticipated second volume, co-headlining with Denver's folk-rock gem Heavy Diamond Ring.
FULLERTON & FRIEL bring their signature western blues to life with soulful intensity. Guitarist A.J. Fullerton and harmonica virtuoso Jake Friel create captivating tunes that honor tradition while pushing boundaries. A.J. has opened for blues royalty including Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, and Samantha Fish, earning recognition as one of the fastest rising names in the blues scene. With intricate fingerpicking, evocative slide guitar, and Jake's commanding harmonica work, this duo breathes new life into the American blues tradition.
HEAVY DIAMOND RING offers the perfect complement with their signature sound: “a little bit of twang and a whole lot of beef.” Born from the ashes of indie-folk favorites Paper Bird, songwriters Sarah Anderson and Paul DeHaven draw from '70s FM folk rock and open-hearted storytelling. Led by Anderson's smooth-as-honey vocals and DeHaven's rugged guitar chops, with knockout players Blake Stepan, Mike Lang, and Orion Tate, their live show is one to remember.
