The two-day summit will feature a wide range of presentations and discussions, including a keynote address from Dr. Jonathan Santoro, a nationally recognized pediatric neurologist and Director of Neuroimmunology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. His pioneering work in identifying and treating Down Syndrome Regression Disorder (DSRD) has transformed care for many families across the country. In his keynote, Dr. Santoro will explore the intersection of neurology, aging, and intellectual disabilities, offering insights for providers, caregivers, and advocates on recognizing emerging health issues in aging adults with IDD. In addition to the keynote, sessions will cover topics such as Normal vs. Not Normal Aging, Palliative Care, Fraud Awareness, Emergency Preparedness, Assistive Technologies, and an action panel featuring local representatives and senators, among others. Additionally, a vendor fair will take place with networking opportunities and resources for attendees from over 20 organizations from across the state
