Our October general meeting features Gregg Eckhardt, Senior Analyst for the San Antonio Water System, who will talk about the storied Hot Wells Hotel and Spa.

The Hot Wells Hotel and Spa has a long and storied history in San Antonio as a destination spot for locals and visitors to embrace hot and sulfurous water from the Edwards Aquifer. ## About our speaker
Gregg Eckhardt is an environmental scientist with 37 years of experience in environmental modeling and analysis, water resource planning and development, state and federal permitting, and water treatment. He is known as The Nerd King of South Texas Water History and runs The Edwards Aquifer Website(https://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=c6e7b6482ca71d5c29e7d49890128c18ae974d7f767c3d63abdd516cf1e0d0e0d1b7dd4d026bc6901fb0390a6ccfab4e3e32b3fddee854b8).
As Senior Analyst for the San Antonio Water System, he is involved in the planning, operations, and management of the city's water supply and wastewater.

Eco Centro(https://www.facebook.com/EcoCentro1/) is located at San Antonio College, 1802 North Main Avenue @ Locust Street. There is a parking lot adjacent to Eco Centro which is entered from Locust Street.
We can also use SAC parking lots 14, 15 and 17 (map of parking lots(https://www.sierraclub.org/sites/https://www.sierraclub.org/files/sce/alamo-group/docs/EcoCentro_parking_map.pdf)) to the north, west and south of the STIC building across North Main Avenue from Eco Centro. Parking is also allowed on the residential streets to the east, north and south of Eco Centro.
