ACTS and Superstars are teaming up for an epic all-age pantomime! AUDITION TIMES:
Friday 28th June 4:30-6:30pm – Youth principal/solo auditions

For all under 18s auditioning for lead character or solo singing roles.
Saturday 29th June 3-5pm – ALL cast auditions
(Oasis Academy Mayfield)
EVERYONE auditioning for the show must attend this session.
Sunday 30th June 5-8pm - Adult principal/solo auditions
(Christ Church Freemantle, Ashley Crescent, SO15 3BS)
Anyone over 18s wishing to be considered for a large character or solo singing role should also attend our Sunday auditions. We may also invite others to attend for a call-back following the Saturday auditions.
Please ensure comfortable, non-restrictive clothes and secure shoes are worn for auditions. We strongly suggest bringing a bottle of water to auditions, and small snacks are also allowed.
Aladdin - a Pantomime! will be going on stage between the 13th and 17th November 2024 at Oasis Academy, Mayfield.
We are looking for approximately 20 adult and 20 youth cast members for this production
- Our minimum age is 5 years old, although for younger children we suggest you consider and discuss the demands of taking part in a show/rehearsals, as it may be too much for some
We aim to be as inclusive as possible. No prior experience is necessary and we actively encourage auditions from people from all walks of life. Please speak to us if you have any additional needs; we will never exclude anyone based on disability or neurodivergence.
To take part in the show the cost is just £50 for adults or £40 for under 18s. There is a 10% discount for additional family members from the same household. This cost covers all rehearsal hours, scripts and teaching materials, show days, set, props and specific costumes.
Due to a combination of factors, to maintain health and safety we have a limited number of spaces available in this cast. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that everyone who auditions will be successful.
For successful auditionees rehearsals will begin shortly after auditions and will be up to twice weekly (largely on Saturday afternoons, with some Fridays, mostly for youth cast and some Sundays, mostly for adults). Not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal but must be regularly available for at least one rehearsal day a week. (Our principal cast MUST be available for most rehearsals.) We will ask for you to let us know your availability on the audition day and then once the show is cast we will produce a rehearsal schedule
A Note from the Director:
Strong cast members not only display performance skills but good personal skills too. We are looking for people who will support and encourage each other, listen well, take on board direction, and put effort into learning their parts. When it comes to auditions we completely understand there can be nerves and are looking for potential, rather than perfectly polished performances. Show us your enthusiasm, be willing to give things a go, and most importantly enjoy yourself!
