Celebrate over 60 years of timeless Beach Boys music, live on stage. This July, a true piece of music history comes to Christchurch.
Founding The Beach Boys member Al Jardine brings The Pet Sounds Band to the Isaac Theatre Royal for a special Independence Day weekend celebration.
Joined by his 11-piece Pet Sounds Band — personally assembled alongside the late, great Brian Wilson — Jardine will celebrate more than 60 years of iconic music that helped define the California sound and a generation of popular culture.
Audiences can expect timeless favourites including California Girls, Help Me Rhonda and Wouldn’t It Be Nice, alongside deeper cuts and rare gems from the 1970s. The performance honours Brian Wilson’s extraordinary legacy while celebrating the unmistakable harmonies and enduring spirit that made The Beach Boys “America’s Band”.
Authentic, nostalgic and filled with the warmth of summer, this is a rare opportunity to experience the music of one of the most influential groups in modern history — performed by one of its founding voices.
