This competition aims to give lifters an opportunity to lift in one or all three of the main kettlebell lifts - jerk, snatch and longcycle (both single and double bell options). It is also a chance for new lifters to get experience on the platform and be able to lift bells that suit their ability.
Scoring for this competition will be based from the Grassroots scoring system (below).
The categories are
Female Novice: those competing, usually on 14kg or less
Female Experienced: 16kg-22kg
Female Elite- 24kg+
Male Novice those who usually compete on 22kg or less.
Male Experienced 24kg-30kg
Male Elite 32kg+
Medals are awarded for categories - not for individual lifts. Your heaviest weight determines your category.
Scoring is based on points awarded for each kettlebell, it is loaded so the higher the weight the more points it attracts, simply it is reps multiplied by kettlebell rating.
