The Akron Art Museum invites you to be part of an inspiring day dedicated to breaking down ageist barriers and reimagining what it means to grow older—with equity, dignity, and creativity.
This free event welcomes community members, professionals, caregivers, and advocates to engage in meaningful dialogue, challenge outdated stereotypes, and explore innovative approaches to aging well.
Whether you support older adults in your work or personal life, are navigating aging yourself, or both, this summit is for you.
- Keynote speaker Elizabeth White, author of 55, Underemployed, and Faking Normal, brings a powerful voice to the urgent conversation around age, economic justice, and resilience.
- Breakout sessions will explore topics in health, wellness, the arts, and community engagement. Creative expression is woven throughout, with hands-on art-making experiences designed to nurture well-being and connection.
- A complimentary lunch will be provided, offering time to connect, share stories, and build community.
This summit celebrates adults 55 and better, honoring their experiences and inviting all
generations to imagine a more inclusive, joyful future.
