More than a show, AKITU is a ritual of renewal: a midsummer gathering for the sun-kissed, the night-movers, the desert-dreamers and the beautifully unhinged. As Fremantle bakes under the WA sun, AKITU rises after dark — strange, percussive and pulsing with life.
Tijuana Cartel lead the voyage with their hypnotic blend of electronic alchemy, flamenco guitar and cinematic oddities. Joined by the magnetic Si Mullumby and Ben Catley with deep driving rhythms and ecstatic energy, and the electronic shadows of Sobhan, SheJ, and Carebear — expect a journey that shapeshifts from groove into glitch, ritual into rave.
