On Sunday, June 7th from 11am to 2pm we invite the community to bring and display a favorite quilt from their home for everyone to enjoy. This is going to be an outdoor event: we will be “Airing” out the quilts in the June sunshine! Participants will be asked to stay with their quilt so they can talk about their quilt (think of it like a car show, but for quilts!) and keep their quilt safe. Quilts will be displayed around the Palmer Community Center (Train Depot) and the Downtown Pavilion across from the Palmer Visitor Center.
Registration is open to all but limited to one person: one quilt.
Registration opens online on May 1st at 10am. The Registration link will be posted on our Facebook page and shared via email.
We can only accept 40 quilts this year so please register early if you want to display a quilt!
To commemorate the First Annual Airing of the Quilts participants will receive a complimentary quilt block pattern based on this year’s event poster which features Alaska’s wild rose in a traditional Baltimore Album appliqué style.
