Join us for the latest AIM After Hours, an ongoing member-exclusive series.Step behind the curtain and experience the transformative power of therapeutic magic.
Join UAB Arts members for a special AIM After Hours featuring internationally recognized illusionist and educator Dr. Kevin Spencer, founder of the Healing of Magicâ„¢ program. In partnership with UAB Arts in Medicine, Dr. Spencer will demonstrate how structured magic techniques are used as therapeutic tools to support motor skills, cognitive development, communication, and emotional well-being in clinical and community settings.
This interactive evening offers members an inside look at how UAB Arts in Medicine integrates evidence-informed creative practices into healthcare and community environments. Guests will witness live demonstrations, hear about the impact of magic in rehabilitation and trauma-responsive care, and even learn a simple technique themselves.
Discover how wonder becomes a pathway to healing, and how the arts continue to expand what’s possible in health and human connection.
AIM After Hours is a brand-new members-only recurring event that lets our members explore their artistic side, meet fellow creatives, and experience the power of art in a whole new way. Members are welcome to bring a guest at no additional cost. Space is limited for this event, and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
