I am Melchisedek Shabazz, a printmaker and curator based in Richmond, Va. I first discovered screenprinting during my time at Norfolk State University, where I was tasked to design a shirt and print them. I remember not liking my first prints but through a lot of trial and error I gained a better understanding of the process and began making it my own. With support from our local print shop, studio two three, I got more printing experience by doing workshops and classes. To me screen printing is more fun when shared with the community!
