Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) will host the 35th annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas on Sunday, April 27, at the Las Vegas Ballpark. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. with a resource fair featuring community partners, sponsors booths, and photo–opps.
Proceeds from the walk will benefit AFAN’s client support service programs, including case management, nutrition counseling, transportation assistance, mental health services, and HIV testing.
For the 24th consecutive year, entertainers Penn & Teller will return as grand marshals, joining thousands of walkers to raise funds and awareness for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada.
To register, AFAN asks for a suggested donation of $30 for adults and $15 for youth. Dogs are welcome to join the walk, but attendees bringing pets must complete a waiver available on AFAN’s website.
