This course is designed to be an induction to freediving for beginners. It aims to help you develop basic skills, knowledge and safety procedures necessary to enjoy freediving safely within the limit of your experience. You have the opportunity to practice breath-hold, improve technique for duck dive, equalization, and swim underwater.Prerequisites:
1. Have completed AIDA Medical form
2. Have completed the Liability Release
3. Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years with parents' consent)
4. Be able to swim at least 100m non-stop
What to expect on the day:
8:30am -11:30am: Dry session - theory reviews, QA, breath-hold exercises, equalization exercises.
Note: you will be given an electronic copy of AIDA1 manual to read on your own before the course
1:00pm - 5:30pm: Pool session, including
Static Session - practice breath-hold in the water, buddying and rescuing
Dynamic Session - practice skills of swimming underwater, buddying, rescuing
