The tutor of this course is Rita Scholten, an experienced earth-builder and sustainable-living tutor in Golden Bay. She built her first straw-bale house in 2000, and has been involved in a diversity of earth-building projects over the last two decades. She has been teaching and sharing these skills through the Golden Bay Sustainable Living Centre for the last 5 years.
