About this Event
This hands-on workshop explores how AI can support ideation, research, image generation, and creative problem-solving while maintaining the artist’s voice, authorship, and critical perspective.
April will share how she experiments with AI in concept development, storytelling, and world-building—drawing connections to her broader artistic universe of Atlantica, speculative futures, and narrative-based art practices.
The workshop will include a short lecture followed by guided experimentation where participants can explore prompt-building, creative generation tools, and strategies for translating digital concepts into physical artworks.
Participants will leave with:
- An introduction to AI tools used in creative practices
- Strategies for writing prompts and generating visual ideas
- Insight into authorship, ethics, and critical engagement with AI
- A curated reading list and literature to help develop a sustained practice of reading, research, and critical inquiry around emerging technologies and art
This workshop is open to artists, students, and curious creatives interested in exploring new technologies while deepening their intellectual and artistic practice. No prior experience with AI is required.
