AI Policy Development for Business Leaders

Most organizations are already using AI. Few have a written policy that clearly defines how it should and should not be used.
In this working session, you will draft the foundation of a practical internal AI Use Policy tailored to your organization. You will move beyond general guidelines and clarify the direction that protects your people, your data, and your reputation while allowing innovation to continue responsibly.
Using a structured policy template, you will define:
-A clear purpose statement and values anchor
-The scope of approved and prohibited AI use
-Data boundaries using a Green, Yellow, and Red framework
-Acceptable and unacceptable use expectations
-Roles, responsibilities, and reporting structure
-A review cycle to keep your policy current

You will leave with a policy draft you can refine, formalize, and implement within your organization.
Please bring a laptop or tablet if you would like to draft directly within the policy template during the session.
This is Part 2 of a four-part series the Aurora Alliance is hosting in 2026.
