AI brings automata to life, enabling natural interaction with virtual beings like Leo
About this Event

Humans have always been fascinated by automata. Thanks to AI, we can now communicate with artificial beings in a natural way and even make virtual friends. Meet Leo, one of these AI beings, and its creators, who will give you an insight into breathing life into lines of code.


Panel discussion featuring:

Bria Cole, Producer/ director with a background in media arts and architecture

Evan Simpson, software engineer

Leo, AI being with an attitude

Karen Vanderborght, TPL Innovator in Residence (AI and Digital Creativity)


Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required for this class and begins November 6, 2025 at 12:30pm.

Note: Your spot will not be guaranteed after 5 minutes of the start of the program.

Class is held in the 2nd floor eLearning Lab.


This program is part of the Innovator in Residence (AI and Digital Creativity) program, which is designed to help beginner and intermediate learners build knowledge and creative skills by exploring the latest in AI, with a focus on responsible and ethical use, and its intersections with digital content and innovation.
