About this Event
AI For Business Professionals - 1 Day Workshop
This one-day workshop is designed for professionals who want to embrace AI and gain a clear understanding of both its capabilities and its limitations. By participating, you will gain the knowledge you need to make informed decisions about:
• Obtaining AI qualifications/certifications to enhance career options
• Developing a staff/team training program in various aspects of AI to improve performance / develop new initiatives or applications
• The "security and privacy" threats that AI could pose
• Initiating an in-house program for assessing ethical aspects of projects involving the use of AI technology
• Adopting AI technologies for the production of new media (video, music, audio, graphics) for entertainment, marketing and similar projects
• Adopting AI technologies for teaching assistance and question answering
• Possible A Level and University projects
During this workshop, we will explore techniques for evaluating, strategising and planning for AI-related projects using techniques such as:
• Mind/concept maps and brainstorming
• Soft systems analysis
• Satisficing
The workshop does not require extensive programming experience or knowledge of advanced maths, but is suitable for professionals and programmers looking to continue, on the AI learning path by developing more advanced programming skills.
At the end of this workshop, you should have a clear understanding of AI concepts, tools and applications and know what the following mean/are:
• Machine learning
• Neural networks
• Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs)
• Deep learning
• Reinforcement learning
• Generative adversarial networks
• AI Agents and Chatbots
• Genetic algorithms
• Graph neural networks
• RAG,goes CAG and Knowledge databases
The breadth of topics covered in this workshop matches and goes beyond those listed in the BCS (British Computer Society) AI Essential Certificate syllabus, and the material provided and references for further reading should provide sufficient knowledge to be able to obtain this or a similar level certification.
All students attending the workshop will obtain a certificate of completion.
The workshop will also offer valuable opportunities for networking and for gaining practical experience in using brainstorming techniques together with AI chatbots to explore various aspects of AI.
This is the first of a series of workshops which will include:
• Workshops for BCS AI Foundation Module certificates
• Python programming for AI
• R programming for AI
• Data analytics using Python
• Intensive exam preparation workshops for Microsoft and Amazon AI certifications
