🚨 PROTEST TIME!! 🚨 Myself and a group of lovely folks will be hosting a protest outside of the Legislative Building in Regina, Sask to express our distaste for the AI Data Centre that is planning for construction just outside of the city (located in the RM of Sherwood).
Come join us at 11am! We plan on informing folks about the dangers of AI Data Centres from a holistic approach- there are dangers with these centres involving power and water consumption, ethically with the rise in stolen art and impersonation, and so many more than I can list in this post. It’s up to us as a community to rise up and share our voices on this matter, so join us as we discuss these issues!
What can you do to express your frustration with this build in the meantime?
-Contact your MLA, your City Councillor, and the RM of Sherwood (yes, even though they lost some members still do it!)
-Educate others on the dangers of AI and these AI Data Centres
-STOP USING AI!!! The more you use it the more you support it, don’t use it for silly pictures, writing reports, anything!!!!
